How to identify?
- Look at your Migration Plan contract to see terms and conditions. You should see a Credit Percentage (MAP Services Formula), e.g. 20%, eligible to specific services, e.g. EC2.
- Tag your migrated resources with the correct value, e.g. map-migrated = mig00000000.
- Wait until you reach the minimum threshold, e.g. 20K.
- The Credits should be automatically added to your account.
- There is also a maximum amount, e.g. 100K and a duration for the MAP, e.g. 2 years.
How to fix?
- Tag your resources directly on your IAC tool with tag map-migrated and correct value.
- Use Tag Editor directly in AWS Console to tag the rest of untagged resources.
